I'm so happy that McCain has picked Sarah Palin to run as VP! I was watching the news this morning and they were in Wasilla, Alaska. Palin was mayor of Wasilla before she became Governor of Alaska. It was cool because when Scott and I went to visit his friend Doug in Alaska, we were in Wasilla. Doug lives just a few minutes from the town and we grocery shopped in Wasilla.

At any rate, conservatives love her. She is big into reform and she has a high approval rate with people in Alaska. 90%!!! That's three times what Pres. Bush or Congress has right now. So, I'd say McCain did the right thing. Everyone is saying that it's a shock, but I don't think so. Scott Rasmussen said on Fox News many months ago that McCain was going to pick Palin, and sure enough he did.
