It Was A Party!

Today was a fantastic day! We had a great party and the kids had a great time. I would say that we probably had 40 kids, plus a few babies, and parents, and grandparents, aunts and uncles, and cousins. It was a great time.

I was so glad that we rented the park. The little timers (that's what Jason calls the little kids) had so much fun at Creekside Kingdom. For the $100 it cost me to rent it, boy was it worth it. They kids were occupied and they were safe. They had so much fun seeing each other after losing touch during summer break. The sad thing with John is that all his friends from preschool are basically split between Lowell's three elementary schools. John and Ben will be in Bushnell, Aiden will be going to Murray Lake, the other kids will be going to Alto. A few are going to young 5's at Bushnell but I don't know how much interaction they'll have with them. So, it was a nice farewell to the summer.

Jourdan had a boat load of girlfriends at her party too. I think she had close to 20. They probably got a little bored because the park isn't as much fun for girls their age. But we played some games and girls seem to stay busy. Plus, it took Jourdan forever to open all the gifts these girls brought. John too. Both of them have very generous friends. Really, they got so many nice gifts that it was like Christmas for both of them.

So, the food was good, the cake was good, the weather was perfect, and the games were good. Can't ask for more than that can we?
