What Were They Thinking?

Holy cow did I write a bunch yesterday. I was on a roll. But, today is Monday and it's been a long day. So, no long-winded speeches today.

I'm having a PartyLite party in just over a week. I can't wait, it's been alot of years since I've been to one. I really dig burning candles, so I'm excited to see what kind of new stuff they have.

I'm watching the news and Air Force One did a fly by over New York today, low...and scared the hell out of a bunch of people. I guess it was a photo-op! I guess our government has alot of money to waste and they can spend it by flying a plane around New York at taxpayer expense. On the news people are running and scared! It's bullshit! They didn't even notify the city of New York that they were doing this.

I guess some tall buildings were evacuated, thinking that a 9/11 deal was happening again. Ridiculous!

  1. I am really not fond of PartyLite. I have a friend who sells it. Not only do I not have enough friends to even host a party, but I can't afford the stuff from the catalogue. Once I spent $13 on a candle plate because I thought it would be really decorative. It wasn't. And I spent $7 on a scented candle which, when smelled in the box, was great. Then I lit it; no scent at all. I was really disappointed.

Good luck to you, though, with your party. I hope you get lots of gifts.

  2. I had a great party! We had coctails and munchies and lots of good conversation. Even talked about candles, one of my favorite things.

It's too bad you had a bad experience with Partylite, Beth. I hate it when you buy something and it isn't all it's cracked up to be. I really love the partylite candles. My sister used to sell them and I probably had over 100 candles but have burned them all. So, I've been burning cheaper yucky candles and I can definitely tell the difference.

The best part is being the hostess, then you get the free candles. :)
